New volunteer training for SCO and BRICS summits begins

Another round of volunteer training for the 2015 SCO and BRICS summits began in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Organisers received 9526 applicants, 600 of whom declared themselves ready to lead the volunteer teams.

General communication skills training is in store for the young applicants who will also attend presentations and take part in mobile and intellectual games. Thirty volunteer captains will be selected following the training.

"I was a volunteer in Kazan (World Student Games) and Sochi (Olympics), and I can say that the leadership training in Ufa looks special to me," Natalya Ageyeva, a trainee and a member of the Youth Civic Chamber at the State Assembly of the Bashkortostan Republic, said. "The groups are small, just 15 to 20 people, and each enjoys an individual approach. Also, we'll get lectures by the people that developed the training methods."
