Next stage of volunteer training for SCO and BRICS summits

Volunteer selection for the upcoming SCO and BRICS summits has started in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan. The teams' leaders and representatives of the Organising Committee will interview 2,000 people and pick the best prospective volunteers.

During the interview, candidates will have 20 minutes to introduce themselves and talk about their experience as a volunteer. Knowledge of foreign languages will also be tested. Special attention will be paid to candidates' abilities to cope with tricky situations, their communicative skills and their understanding of personal responsibility for the results of one's work. In the past four days, 274 candidates have been approved. Interviews will take place until February 22.

In all, 9,500 people have submitted applications to assist during the SCO and BRICS summits, with over 2,000 of them having completed an online training course. The Organising Committee will select 500 volunteers.
