On February 5, Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov inspected the construction of a new international terminal at Ufa Airport as part of preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisations and BRICS summits.
The airport's CEO Alexander Andreyev said that construction work has been completed by 85-90 percent. In the departure hall, builders have finished all decorative work, equipped boarding bridges and installed check-in stands. They will start assembling technological equipment in the next few days. The premises will be tested in the working mode on February 20 and the international terminal will be put into service in the last ten days of March.
Mr. Khamitov inspected the terminal's public and service premises, including the luggage loaders and passport control zones, as well as arrival and departure halls. He urged the builders to complete their work on time. "There is no alternative," he said.
