Beijing hosts a regular SCO Council of National Coordinators Meeting

On January 20-22, 2015, Beijing (China) held a regular SCO Council of National Coordinators Meeting under Russia's SCO Presidency. The meeting was attended by SCO Secretary-General Dmitry Mezentsev and Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) Vitaly Burov.

The participants discussed the current activities of the SCO, preparations for the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting in Ufa and the SCO Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs Meeting in Moscow, as well as the upcoming celebrations of the 70th anniversary of victory over Nazism in World War II.

The participants approved the plan of major SCO events for 2015 and accepted proposals on the schedule of ministerial and expert meetings.

They noted invigoration of the SCO's cooperation with observer states and dialogue partners and emphasized the special importance of the resolution of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly on cooperation between the SCO and the UN, which mapped out new dimensions of their work together.
