Remote stage of volunteer training for SCO and BRICS summits completed

Over 2,000 people have undergone the first stage of volunteer training for the SCO and BRICS summits, which will be held in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, in July 2015. The future volunteers learned about the establishment and activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and BRICS, as well as the history and culture of member states.

The remote stage that took place simultaneously with the reception of applications is over. The organisers have started processing the data.

Applications were sent by over 9,500 people, 600 of whom expressed a willingness to head volunteer groups. Participants will undergo trainings aimed at developing communication skills. Presentations as well as sports and mind games will be organised for them.

In particular, Ufa hosted a training for volunteer groups captains on 16-18 January conducted by social engineer, head of the volunteer department of the 2013 Kazan World Summer Games, Anna Feldman. The event was attended by 50 people, and the group's activity focused on developing professional skills.
