Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs rounds up visit to China

On October 31, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Morgulov met with China's Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs Wu Dawei in Beijing, China.

The diplomats discussed the situation and the development outlook for Northeast Asia.

They said that their countries shared the view on the importance of continued cooperation aimed at creating conditions for resuming the six-party talks on the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.

The diplomats agreed to continue coordinating their stands on this issue.

On November 1, Mr. Morgulov met with China's Deputy Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping.

They discussed diverse issues pertaining to the SCO, with a focus on priority measures to boost cooperation in regional security and stability given the new geopolitical conditions and to promote their economic and cultural interaction. They also confirmed their readiness for cooperation during Russia's SCO Presidency in 2014-2015.
